IMP Business Club Event June 20th, 2011
The IMP Business Club has now been officially launched. On June 20, the official inauguration has been celebrated at the second IMP Business Club event in Breisacher Tor. Around 20 students from the IMP program, but also from the other programs of the economics faculty attended the event.
The IMP Business Club team has officially signed the foundation Charter as well as the associated by-laws. Professor Landmann, speaker of the IMP program, who also attended the event, kindly addressed the audience with a welcome speech. “I am proud to see another initiative has been launched by our IMP students. Hopefully, this initiative will endure for a long time, since it satisfies the important need of many students for contacts with companies.”
After a Champagne toast on the IMP Business Club, the audience had the pleasure to follow a very educative, strongly performed, presentation of Silke Petersen from GE Healthcare. Silke Petersen, HR Generalist at GE Healthcare Medical Systems, first introduced the particular business case of HR management at GE. She emphasized the importance that is put at this function at GE. Furthermore, Silke Petersen gave valuable advice of how to professionally apply for a job starting from a convincing CV and ending with the final job interview. The attending students vividly participated in the discussion and came up with many questions – some general, other quite specific and hence directly improving their own application documents.
The IMP Business Club wants to thank all the event visitors and kindly wants to highlight the next upcoming presentation. On July 20, 2011, Christian Thol from Sick AG will give a speech about international sales management.
