Program Structure
The Integrated Master Program in Economics is a full-time intensive two years' programs. The first year sets common grounds for all three profiles and provides one introductory course for the chosen specialization. The second year focuses on the chosen specialization and builds up specific knowledge in each of the programs. The language of instruction is English.
First year: The first year offers courses on advanced microeconomics, advanced macroeconomics, foundations of economic policy and the technical requirements in intermediate econometrics/quantitative methods, and computer science. All these courses are mandatory. Moreover in the second term an introductory course into the chosen specialization is also obligatory. -> view course list
Second year: All second year courses are electives. Students can benefit from a variety of specific courses in each profile, taught by members of the local faculty and invited visiting faculty. The second year allows building up specific expertise in the chosen area of specialization culminating in a master thesis at the end of the program. -> view course list
Semester abroad: Students who have successfully completed the first year and who are eligible under the Erasmus program, may spend their third semester in a selected partner school abroad.
